Adam & Nicole Kern
Adam Kern
Lead Pastor
Adam accepted Christ as a freshman at West Chester University when other men of God stood up for Jesus and showed Him what a true relationship with Christ looked like. After growing by leaps and bounds in his faith through the ministry of Cru on campus he felt a clear call from the Lord to serve Him and lead others towards a relationship with Christ. He experienced the best gift God has ever given him when he crossed paths with Nicole, who is now his wife. They were married in 2013. Adam graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor’s in Marketing. He then attended Calvary Chapel Bible College which really shaped him and helped deepen his love for God’s Word. After a few years serving as a Youth Pastor, Adam felt the Lord calling him to plant a church in the community where he grew up.
God has given him a desire to help people understand and love God’s Word, and create disciples that have a heart for people who don’t know Jesus personally. Adam served as a Church Planting Intern at Riverbend Community Church and Riverbend was the sending church that sent him out to plant in the Schnecksville area. Along with other people that felt the Lord calling them to plant a church, The Vine Calvary Chapel was born and began meeting in Schnecksville in October 2016. Adam and his wife live in Slatington and enjoy family time, the Philadelphia 76ers, and Dorney Park!
Matt Breger
Associate Pastor
Matt grew up in Lancaster County and accepted Christ in middle school, but it wasn’t until much later that he realized there was so much more he was missing in the form of a true relationship with his savior. After rededicating his life to Christ, he met and fell in love with his wife Lindsay. She was on a small “core team” for a church plant called The Vine Church. Shortly after attending the early gatherings, Matt jumped on board helping to run the church’s social media accounts, and as they say, the rest is history. Matt has been helping at the church with all things “tech-y”. He stepped into the role of elder in 2019 and was ordained as a pastor in 2022 before stepping into his current role of associate pastor, assisting with a variety of administrative tasks.
Matt lives in Macungie with his wife and three children, Michaella, Maverick, and Josiah. He recently graduated from Neumann University with his doctor of physical therapy degree, and works at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital when not at the church. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family outdoors hiking, kayaking, and at Dorney Park.

K-Lee Pinto
Children's Director
Hey Vine Family, I'm K-Lee, wife to Adam of 14 years, homeschooling mama, and the Children's Director for The Vine Calvary Chapel! We have four daughters K-Lynn, Riah, Aurie, and Charlee. I'm crunchy, seeking all natural things as God intended. I love health, fitness, nutrition, and getting fit from the inside out! I came to Jesus in my 20's after meeting my husband and truly seeing what God's love meant and experiencing the gift he provides through Jesus. My life completely changed after getting to read God's Word, which is our instruction manual for life! It really helped me understand and apply Jesus' teachings in my everyday life. I hope to equip families and children to seek and live WITH Jesus in their everyday lives, experiencing the true gift of the Gospel in this temporary world.
Jackie Angle
Youth Director
Hi!! I'm Jackie. I love teaching kids about just how much Jesus loves them and is FOR them. I am a southern born and raised native Floridian that grew up running on sandy beaches, and swimming in waves. I also joke that I cut my teeth as an infant on church pews. My grandparents were the foundation of my faith. I gave my heart to Jesus as a young girl, but I distanced myself from church as I grew older. Even though I have had to trade sandy beaches for Pennsylvania, I still love being alone and busy outdoors in nature as long as it's warm and sunny. The years of running, and sitting in pews has taught me to ponder, question, and seek answers. A lot of the religion that the churches taught didn't show fruit I wanted to bear. My love for learning led me to falling in love with Jesus as I started reading the Bible, realizing there was SO much more than saying I was a Christian and living as a follower of Jesus. I am living proof that the Bible will change any heart if it’s applied by the reader with a sincere heart. I am also a wife, a mother, a mama bear, & have bonus kids as well as grandchildren. These days I rarely get to be on beaches, and my running is more of a jog, but I resound with Paul that I will run the race set before me, keeping my eye on the prize and one day see my Jesus.
